Dundee needs a grown-up.
The Baby cannot run the inquiry alone. Project Dry Run is seeking a Dundee-based person or organisation to take local ownership of the work—and building a roster for paid assignments as each stage is funded.
Practical title
Dundee Project Director / Lead Producer
We are looking for the local person who can turn a good strange idea into an organised, useful Dundee project.
The appointment could suit a creative producer, community organiser, social-enterprise or non-profit leader, cultural manager, economic-development practitioner, or a small Dundee organisation with the right mixture of imagination and delivery. An unconventional route into the work is welcome.
Ceremonial title: Commissioner of Slightly Irregular Affairs. Use of the title in serious funding meetings is discretionary.

The assignment
What the local lead would do
- Translate Project Dry Run into a credible Dundee delivery plan.
- Build relationships with residents, makers, businesses, venues, charities and public bodies.
- Shape funded stages, budgets, schedules and fair paid opportunities.
- Produce public sessions, location activity, portrait days and the eventual hearing.
- Recruit and support local workers, contributors and specialist partners.
- Secure permissions and keep consent, safeguarding, access and dignity practical.
- Report progress, failures, spending and local impact for the public file.
- Work with San Tropat while occasionally preventing him from becoming the entire agenda.

- Comfort moving between residents, artists, businesses, funders and specialists.
- Sound judgement about budgets, promises, permissions and public communication.

- The confidence to improve the concept, challenge it or recommend that a stage should stop.
No particular degree, fashion background or continence-sector experience is required. Technical product, health and regulatory work will remain with properly qualified specialists.
